What is Forum?

A Community of Practice
that Fosters Powerful
Well-being

Forum is the name we call small communities of practice—no more than nine people—that come together on a regular basis to learn, practice, and grow the SEL competencies necessary for well-being.

Before each convening, participants are introduced to a well-being area of competence—for example, responding to emotions. Then in the Forum, this well-being competence is put into practice in relation to real-life situations.

Following Forum participants are given ways in which to practice the new competence as adults, and translate it into SEL classroom practice.

Live, Authentic Platform

Unlike a one-way class, Forum fosters meaningful dialogue on a state-of-the-art social learning platform at each
convening of your Forum. Each Forum last two hours.

Reflective, Brave Space

Confidentiality, absence of judgement, and deep listening allow for life-changing attitudes,
beliefs, perceptions, and deep personal growth. In Forum, you’ll learn to shift cognitive narratives,
emotional reactions, behaviors, relationship to others, and connect more deeply with those things
that give you purpose.

Science-Drive Well-being

The latest science in well-being is utilized in each Forum, so that you get the maximum benefit
of what we know today about how to live a better, richer life—from neuroscience to proven
well-being practices.

It Works

92% of teachers believe participating in online Forum improves their capacity to navigate difficult emotions.

91% of teachers believe participating in online Forum reduces their sense of isolation.

95% of teachers believe participating in online Forum helps them adopt a more positive outlook.

92% of teachers believe participating in online Forum increases their capacity to support students’ emotional needs.

See how educators go from feeling isolated to supported.

When asked “How do you feel each day at school?” the top three emotions reported by educators were frustration, stress, and feeling overwhelmed. When asked how they want to feel at school each day, educators wrote in their own words: joyful, happy, excited, appreciated, supported, and energized. See how Forum gets you there.

What People Are Saying

“The idea of connecting with other people and to realize that I am not alone in this. Other people experience this from all over the world. It takes you out of that siloed feeling and puts you into we are in this together.”

— Lydia Pool, Elementary Vice Principal

“To have a platform where I can talk about some of the struggles and challenges as well as joys that I'm having and get feedback from other educators”

— Doreen Clark, High School Math Teacher

“I feel much more connected to the people I'm working with. I've gained insight about my role here.”

— Stephen Lessard, Middle School Humanities Teacher

The experience.

A safe, confidential space to
awaken to where you feel
depleted, reckon with the
reality of where you are,
and let go of the stress.
Then, learn to live anew into
your joy, your power
and your purpose—even in the
toughest of circumstances.

Forum provides a reflective, mindful

space to decompress, connect with others,

and practice new ways of being in community.

We are better together!

The growth.

Encouraged by the educator
peer-community you join,
you’ll learn the art of
self-reflection, exploration,
and inquiry so that you can
inhabit a more capable,
and emotionally ready,
version of yourself.
It’s not something you “do”
but rather it’s something
you become.

Together, in Forum, we rise to any challenge.

The method.

Each Forum empowers you to
intentionally shift your cognitive
narratives, emotional reactions,
behaviors, and relationship to
others, and better understand
and connect with those things
that give you purpose.

Mind | shift thoughts, beliefs, narratives

Heart | understand and manage emotions

Body | feel sensations, release stress,
and act intentionally

Spirit | attune to your inner wisdom and
expand connection and purpose

The beautiful questions.

Some of the beautiful questions our community of educators loves.

How do you turn stress into compassion and gratitude?

How do you deal with a reality that does not match your hopes?

How do you explore emotions and respond to them in powerful productive ways?

How do you build better, stronger relationships, where you feel less isolated, alienated and alone?

How do you interrogate and shift your thinking, so that you can feel inspired, resilient, and capable instead of depleted?

How can you be fueled and inspired by your unique gifts and purpose when it’s this tough?

How do you find joy, where you think there isn’t any?

Together, in Forum, we re-energize the soul.

The mentors.

Our mentors teach the Forum process
and practices while supporting each
member toward greater well being.
They provide a space for you to learn and grow
as a community and prepare you to continue to guide

your Forum into the future.

Together, we thrive.
